Tilt Five: Holographic Tabletop Gaming

Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms!

When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you. Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board. This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before.

Out of the box you'll have access to free games as well as thousands of officially licensed RPG adventures, and a multitude of classic tabletop, action video, puzzle, and party games.

We decided to take a different approach at Tilt Five. We focused on building an AR system that creates amazing tabletop gaming experiences, with glasses so lightweight and comfortable you can play all day. Our lenses are large and wide open, so the glasses don't block your vision. You can see your friends, pizza, and drinks, while you play true head to head games around the table. The patented 110° field of view optical system fills the entire game board, and everything is in focus whether you're leaning back in your chair or pressing your chin to the board to get a better look at the details on that dragon. To top it all off, the system had to be affordable.

So some of you are saying "but you showed composited shots in your video." Yeah, we knew you'd say this. In order to show the group experience of playing games around the table together, we had to make a creative choice. Shooting through-the-lens footage is difficult, and when you add in actors and scenery it's next to impossible. Here are many of the same shots as you would see them through the lens of the glasses, minus the actors and scenery of course.
