Regeländerung - Massive Damage (3.5e)

HD-Based Threshold: A character’s massive damage threshold is equal to 25 +2 per Hit Die. Whenever a character takes damage from a single blow that equals or exceeds this value, he must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or suffer the effects of massive damage.

In stead of a failed Fortitude save againts massive damage resulting in instant death, a failed save results in a character being reduced to −1 hit point. The character becomes dying and unconscious, but can still become stable or be helped by his friends, just like any other character who is reduced to −1 hp.
